[ Sam knows what Yelena can do. She could have joined the argument against but she didn't. Even though Yelena couldn't honestly make her own defense, she won't forget that Sam spoke for her. ]
[ she's honestly tired of people being accused based solely on what they can do, and yelena and bob's are just the latest in what feels like a long line of them. in the end it hadn't mattered what she'd had to say (tara's the one who wanted to be a lawyer). but if it makes yelena feel a little less alone against being accused, she's glad she did it. ]
